Reasons You Should Watch/Read Game of Thrones

So, I have a friend, who shall remain nameless for her own protection, who, shocking as it may be, does not watch Game of Thrones or read A Song of Ice or Fire. Try to contain your horror and dismay. So, for that person, who, once again, shall remain nameless, I present to you ten reasons why you should watch/read Game of Thrones.

1) Great hair styles. Like, Jaime Lannister's hair literally stands up by it's self. Not to mention that amazing-ness that is Dany Targaryen's beautiful hair.

2) Dragons. Everyone likes dragons. Don't act like you don't like dragons; you know that you do. They're giant, fire breathing lizards of death and pain, what's not to like.

3) Sean Bean is in the show and he dies in the show. You know that, if Sean Bean chooses a movie/show to die in that it must be good. He only picks the very best shows to die in.

4) Jenn Marbles likes it. That's right, I'm pulling out the celebrity card; if Jenna Marbles watches it, obviously every human in the western hemisphere should too.

5) The plot of the series is loosely based on English history and the War of the Roses. So, my watching the show or reading the books, you're actually studying history. You're welcome.

6) In the world of the show, summer can last for decades. Think about that, a 10 year summer break, no math class for 10 years; that would be a beautiful world.

7) It's very, very nerdy. If you want to call yourself a nerd, Game of Thrones is essentially mandatory. I mean, the council of nerds is already thinking about kicking out anyone who supports Joffery from the secret, nerd society. And when I say secret nerd society, I mean, the one that I just invented right now.

8) A lot of interesting conversations come out of Game of Thrones discussions, like "Wolves or Lions", "What will Zombie Catelyn Stark do Next", "Dragons: Practical or Unpredictable", and "Incest: Lannisters or Targaryen Style". You know that you want to hear more about that last one.

9) It is the origin of all 'Winter is Coming' memes, a Pandora's box of wonderfulness.

10) Hank Green likes it. Don't pretend you don't care about Hank Green's judgement. Maybe you don't care about Jenna Marble's judgement, but you care about Hank Green's judgement. If Hank Green likes it, it must be good. End of story.

I mean, if you can't trust Hank Green, who can you trust? Probably only John Green, Santa Claus, and, of course, Tyrion Lannister. A Lannister always pays his debts.

Just sayin'
